Is it true that having a wedding in off months (September thru November or January thru March) will save money? |
|
Once there was great
truth in having a wedding during the "off-peak" seasons (November
thru March) However, Fall and Winter weddings are quickly becoming a popular.
While the rates may be similar to those during "on-peak" months
(April thru August) you may find some additional savings during these
times. |
|
|
How much does the average wedding cost? |
|
Depending on your geographic
location, you should expect to pay on average at least 35% of your estimated
budget on your reception. That is about $75 to $100 per guest. The other
65% will incorporate all the other details for your day. While it is better
to overestimate your cost, a Coordinator will show you how to allocate
your money so that you get the most for your dollar. |
|
Who pays for what when it comes to weddings? Is it true that the bride’s family pays the bulk of the cost? |
|
This in no longer the
case, as many couples are opting to pay for their own wedding. While traditionally
wedding expenses were divided, with the Bride’s parents paying 50%
to 75%; we now find that the financial aspects of wedding finances are
being left up to the bride and groom. Golden Rule:
While help is appreciated it should not be expected. |
